Gag size guidelines

To accurately determine the size of your Moanspeak gag, use one of the two methods:

  1. Measuring the Internal Distance between the Sixth Teeth (First Molars) on the Upper Jaw (see below) - The most precise method, especially if you have a sensitive gag reflex or unique jaw structure.

  2. Body Height Correlation - This method works in 6 out of 10 cases and provides a less reliable, yet simpler way to determine your size. Recommended as a secondary method and should be used as a reference only.

How to measure the Internal Distance between the Sixth Teeth (First Molars) on the Upper Jaw

This is the key parameter for selecting the correct gag size, ensuring the product fits your oral anatomy properly. It can be measured in two ways:

  • Use a ruler or calipers to measure the distance internally between your sixth teeth on the upper jaw.

  • Take a small piece of soft modeling clay, wrap it in food wrap, and gently bite down. The resulting impression will allow for an easy measurement of the internal distance between your sixth teeth.

Gag size Internal Distance between Upper Jaw Sixth Teeth (First Molars) (mm)  Body Height (cm)
XXS 29 mm < 154 cm
XS
33 mm 154 - 165 cm
S 36 mm 165 - 174 cm
M 39 mm 174 - 182 cm
L 42 mm 182 - 190 cm
XL 45 mm 190 - 200 cm
XXL 48 mm > 200 cm

Our gags are designed with a substantial volume. If you are unsure between two sizes, selecting the smaller one is usually the safer choice.

Additional Size Selection Recommendations

If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider the following:

  • Do you have low gag reflex and prefer intense sensations? Choose a  larger size.

  • Do you prioritize comfort?  Choose a smaller size.

  • Do you have a sensitive gag reflex?  Choose a smaller size.

Every jaw anatomy is unique. Our sizing guide has been carefully developed and works reliably for the vast majority of customers.
